4. Spectacular sun rises and sun sets

5. A light house

6. Swell crashing on to rugged rocks

7. Seal colony (sans sharks)

8. A blow hole

9. A shipwrecked galleon

10. Waves

11. A sunken galleon with treasure

12. Whales and other sea mammals

13. Clear, clean, blue-green water

14. Fishing vessels and jetty

15. Pacific gulls

16. Schools of fish

17. Seabirds feeding on shore

18. Penguins!!!

19. Rock pools

20. Sea shells

21. Great granite boulders for rock hopping on

22. Pine trees

23. Cute native mammals

24. Snorkeling spots

25. A secluded, quiet beach

26. Green grassy spot for kicking the footy

27. Ferny gully

28. Historic buildings, also for staying in

29. Fish and chips and ice cream

30. Al Fresco dining

    I can't help but notice that the sunrises and sunsets both seem to occur over the sea. Of course, in the Platonic ideal of a seaside holiday (and that's what you seem to have drawn), they probably would...

  • Ha ha, well spotted Tony. Yes, in this Platonic ideal the sunset and the sunrise occur over the sea. And crystal clear days are followed by spectacular thunderstorms. And the ocean is rough by the rocks, and you swim safely around them to the calm waters. There is a ship wreck but the fishing boats are not in danger.
