Sex and Sharehousing
I grew up with blokes, I've lived with girls and now I'm living with blokes again. It's so much easier! Blokes are helpful too. And you can keep out of each other's way and this doesn't have to mean that "there's something going on" with cold shoulders.
What have my readers found? Would you rather sharehouse with the same sex or the opposite sex?
After church:
Jenny Can I be your new housemate?
Bob No.
Jenny Why not?
Bob Because I'm a little bit sexually attracted to you, so I don't think it would be appropriate if you moved in.
I don't know if that's ever happened, but it would be funny if it did.

I'm the opposite. I grew up with two sisters. When I moved to Burnie I lived with three girls. When I moved back home I lived with my sisters and a female boarder. I'm used to living with girls.
Blokes are messy as - not sure how I'd go. We've got a male boarder in for a while at the moment, but I'm hardly home and neither is he. And he's living in the house and I'm in the bungalow about 10m away. So we're hardly in close proximity.
As for your question, I don't know if I would turn someone down as a housemate on the basis that they're too hot. I wouldn't like to discriminate like that. Maybe if there had been some awkward tension between us before, I'd say no. But if she was pretty, she wanted to live in the house, and we had space, then I'd be fine.

I've had issues of being in a house with someone I've been attracted too. It's a weird space thing if it goes horribly wrong. But I've lived with 2 chicks now and I think it adds a nice dimension to the house. Now my place has 3 guys in it it's more laid back.

Here is the more likely scenario -
After church:
Jenny: Can I be your new housemate?
Bob: Sure (thinking *cool - she's so hot!*)
